1. Intermediate for drugs (e. G. Sulfadimidine/Sulfamethazine/SM2, Sulfadimidine Sodium/ SM2-Na, Mequindox & Nicarbazine)
2. For synthesizing heterocycles
(isoxazoles, pyrazoles, pyrimidines, pyridines etc. )
3. For preparation of metal acetylacetonates as catalysts
4. Production of anti-corrosion preparations (e. G. Potassium Sorbate)
5. Its peroxide is used as radical initiator for polymerisations
6. Synthesis of vitamin B6 and vitamin K
7. Intermediate for pesticides (e. G. Fungicides, sulfonylurea-herbicides)
8. The solvent of cellulose acetate, catalyst of gasoline and lubricant, the drier of paint
